Award-winning British actress Cerys Knighton takes the lead in the highly anticipated 2026 horror-thriller Charlie Shaw’s Revenge, delivering a compelling performance as Marion — the newly appointed manager of a struggling adventure park who is thrust into an unexpected leadership role when a silent killer, Otto the Clown, begins stalking the staff.

Produced by Drop Dead Films, the film is backed by producers Justin Hayward and Renato Pires, with John Langridge serving as both writer and director. Blending psychological tension with atmospheric horror, the film unfolds within a uniquely immersive setting that heightens its sense of unease.

Knighton brings a grounded strength and emotional depth to the role of Marion, capturing the complexity of a character forced to navigate fear, responsibility, and survival under extreme pressure. A spokesperson for the production noted that her performance brings a powerful sense of realism, making Marion’s journey both believable and deeply engaging.

Recognized for her work in Charlotte (2024) and Wired (2024), along with a range of short film projects, Knighton has established herself as a versatile and emotionally intuitive performer. In Charlie Shaw’s Revenge, she carries the film through a physically and emotionally demanding role, balancing vulnerability with resilience while anchoring the story’s escalating tension.

Working closely with director John Langridge, Knighton helped shape Marion into a character rooted in authenticity. The production itself presented significant challenges, with filming often taking place outdoors in cold and demanding conditions. Long shooting days and harsh environments contributed to the raw intensity of the film, enhancing both its physical realism and emotional impact.

Despite these challenges, the production was marked by a strong sense of camaraderie. The cast and crew maintained a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, finding moments of humor and connection even during the most exhausting days. This shared commitment fostered a unified creative vision that is reflected in the final film.

Following this project, Knighton continues to build momentum in her career. She has recently completed another horror feature in a leading role and is currently filming a drama in a supporting role. Both projects are scheduled for release next year.

Charlie Shaw’s Revenge has already begun to receive critical recognition. Filmed in a distinctive location, the film has won Best Narrative Feature at Made in Sussex, along with awards for SFX and Cinematography at the Horrific Romford Film Festival.
